This is my next update of my beaded Cirque. My somewhat obnoxiously sub-categorized Pictures library has these Ink Circles samplers in folders as CDC for Cercles, CDT for Triangles, and CDX for Carreaux (to be simple). Is it bad that I heard on a bulletin board that there will be another Cirque and in my mind I'm planning what fabric count, floss or beads, cost?, and the biggest question how will they ultimately be displayed. I was thinking that if I were to do whatever the fourth one was on 32ct over 2 in all beads, I could display the 4 in a large rectangle with the same mat size, and they'd fit almost perfectly with the same space between. The only I guess, stipulation would be that the beads have to fit on 32 count fabric. It might be too tight a fit, but I've never actually tried the beads I want to use (Delica seed beads, heard nice things about them). After a bit of searching on the same website, I found some smaller beads that are a possible alternative, but they didn't have really what I wanted for color. Here is the best I could find for purple. I just need to do a little testing, I guess. Also, get more beading finished on Cercles, for Page 1 is almost complete!!! Just a side note.. the title was an obscure (and possibly incorrectly referenced) song from the musical RENT (that I listened to in full on Friday before interVarsity.. except Finale and Finale B lol), and "contacts" instead of "Contact" is because I'm getting new contacts Monday. No Colours this time I'm thinking. I do love the effect it has on my appearance. The green is just so awesome. But the new brand made of a different material lasts longer hours without getting uncomfortable. Of course, your resident night owl said yes to that prospect.

Cool where did you here about another Cirque? I am working on it too and those purple beads would match the colour I'm doing now. Yours is looks wonderful I love your colour choice. Thats the one fun thing about this pattern not you can choose little or a lot of colours and do whatever your heart desires. Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone was talking about it being mentioned somewhere, but I couldn't personally find the information. I just got excited when I thought about it because if there is another it would make my set so much more complete..3 would be odd to hang on a wall next to each other, especially with the random sizes and colors lol. Thanks for commenting! I am so excited to see the pattern come together a little more. The color scheme probably won't make total sense until the thing is completed. Do you have your WIP posted somewhere? :)
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a beaded CdC as well only mines nothing but beads, no fabric in sight
ReplyDeleteOoh I may have seen a WIP of your first few rows (if it's the same one).. how cool! How does that work? I'm assuming you put the beads in order on one side/string and go through the other way with the needle on the other side, and pull a bit to tighten it? I used to do little pony bead creatures in elementary school..LOL but I got all intense and did the 3-D ones with wire too.
ReplyDeleteOh the Cirques are beautiful....they are on my list of things to do along with a Long Dog Sampler.....oh dear will have to live to be 300 years old.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd be into samplers, but somehow they've lasso'ed me in recently! hehe guess we all just work on them as we fancy and sometimes finish stuff.
